The technical archive is a repository for historical information  covering a wide range of science and technology.   It seeks to preserve this important information.

• The History of the Transistor by Mark P. D. Burgess:  said to be one of the best researched histories of the development of transistors, covering not only the earliest developments of semiconductor diodes, but the many hurdles to be overcome, and the earliest companies which commercialized the science.  This was written in 2008-2010, and has remained probably the most accurate and complete coverage of the topic.  Mark has allowed us to mirror his sight for redundancy.
